DAVID CARTY

David Carty hails from Spotswood, NJ, and began his professional music career in 1982, joining regional rock group Momentum. David played in road bands for the next decade, travelling America, Asia and Europe.

After a stint with Florida group Handsome Tramp, David settled down in Tallahassee, and has performed there ever since, becoming a well known solo entertainer throughout the area.

With a huge, very diverse repertoire encompassing everything from Sinatra to synth pop, David Carty continues to entertain any age group in venues varying from restaurants to beach clubs, weddings and private functions to FSU parties and events.

David Carty began his solo music career in the early days of "sequencing", using a now-ancient Commodore 64 to program a virtual backup band to recreate music from that era. Decades later, that skill has been refined to the ultimate in virtual music, and yet David often smoothly goes to "unplugged" mode to play off the cuff tunes for his listenters.
